R&D Management Conference 2020: Doctoral Colloquium
June 27-28, 2020
Research and Development Management Association (RADMA) in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde are organising the Colloquium for doctoral students whose research falls within different areas of R&D. The Colloquium will be held in Glasgow, United Kingdom, on June 27-28, 2020 prior to the 40th R&D Management Annual Conference.
The Colloquium is a great opportunity for doctoral students to discuss their research with their fellow PhD students, leading academics in the field, and senior industry practitioners. They can also benefit from networking and exchanging ideas with other researchers coming from different countries and research backgrounds.
Based on their research topics, methodological orientations, and stages of research progress, students will work in small groups in parallel tracks. Each track will be led by a renowned expert who will moderate discussions and mentor doctoral students. The small size of groups will enable students to present their work to a keen audience in a friendly atmosphere and receive constructive feedback on their work.
Due to limited availability of places, application for participation in the colloquium is competitive. To be considered for participation, applicants should complete the online template abstract for their research. The abstract outlines the title of the research, statement of the research problem and its significance, research aim and objectives, summary of the literature review and statement of the gap, summary of methodology, expected contributions to theory and practice, preliminary findings (if applicable), and key references.
The theme of “Innovation across boundaries: historical reflections and future vision” is meant to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the conference and embrace innovative ideas to push the boundaries of knowledge in R&D research even further. Therefore, doctoral students whose work is very promising in terms of contribution to knowledge are highly encouraged to submit their abstract.
Selected students will attend the colloquium free of charge and will be required to attend the entire two-day event.
